Have You Voted Yet?

Dear Friend:

Hi! I have a question for you - Have you voted in the National Mediation Board's Flight Attendant Representation Election? If not, I encourage you to please vote today! Voting is easy and it takes less than 2 minutes. If you haven't received your telephone and internet voting instructions, pleaseĀ click hereĀ to learn how to request duplicate voting instructions.

I became an active union member shortly after I started flying in March 2001. I am attracted to the fact that I have a voice in my workplace and the opportunity to improve my working conditions. I also enjoy helping people. Quickly, I learned that change for the better isn't always easy, but I believe in always fighting for what is right.

This is why I am fighting for the IAM to represent all Flight Attendants at the New United. The IAM negotiated contracts have provided me with a life-style I can't afford to lose. This is our time! We need to protect what we have and make sure we get the opportunity to gain so much more when the IAM begins negotiating for the combined flight attendant work group. However, we only get one shot at it and we have to get it right!

Again, if you have not voted, please do so today! I encourage you to vote for the IAM for higher wages, more flexibility, true democracy, and pension security. Also, it's awesome to be a member of the largest airline union in North America!

Please forward this email to your friends reminding them to vote and their vote does count. Please ask them to forward to their friends and keep it going. We need to make sure no one loses this opportunity to vote for his or her future. The last day of voting is June 29, but don't wait to the last minute!

In Solidarity,

Christine Diaz
Vice President
IAM Local Lodge 2339H
