United's current Flight Attendant union this week sent a communication to its members stating they "...discovered an error in the NMB’s processing of some requests for duplicate voting instructions from Flight Attendants with international addresses. We advised the NMB of the issue and the process is being corrected. \"
The IAM has contacted the NMB and verified that there were no errors in processing duplicate voting instruction requests and, therefore, nothing that needed to be "corrected." CWA-AFA is again pretending to represent the interests of its members and deceiving them at the same time.
This is third time the CWA-AFA has tried to suppress votes. They previously directed Flight Attendants to call the CWA-AFA and register their votes, and also violated election rules by inserting into an email a direct link to the voting website, a practice that is prohibited because votes could be tracked through such active links.
Who knows what other dirty tricks CWA-AFA will try to manipulate the vote, but if you want to put an end to their despicable behavior, vote YES for the IAM.
